Followed Advice And
Now Expects To Sell Over 200
Vic Panetti of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has
come a long way in the field of motorcycling
by doing just what a friend, George Clifford
said he could expect if he got in there and
pitched. And today Vic owns one of the
finest and, he believes, the largest shop in
the country. Vic says this is a long way from
the small dealer that used to raise a fuss at
Waukesha back in 1944.
Vic started out as a used motorcycle deal-
er in 1935 and sold them until 1938 when
Al West of Indian wrote the first order for
Indian for him as a franchised dealer which
he has been since. Besides the new Indian
line, he now has Matchless, Vincent, AJS,
Royal Enfield, BSA, Ariel and Zundapp.
His new all modern building houses
12,000 square feet of floor space in its struc-
ture of 70 x 126 located at 738 N. Sixteenth
St. The all modern stone front that graces
the show room includes an all glass front—
52 feet in front and 23 feet deep. The parts
room is 25 x 25 for the small parts with
ample room in the rear of the building for
storing other parts.
Vic says since the completion of the re-
modeling that cost quite a bit, "we com-
mand the respect of the whole neighbor-
hood.”
Henry Westra, former dealer in Madison,
Wise., serves as Parts and Service Mgr., at
the Panetti store that had over 80 motor-
cycles on hand the first of the year. With
only 50 left and business just opening up,
Vic says "we expect to sell over 200” and as
long as business is good I'll be in there
pitching.
Vic Panetti’s remodeled store is quite a show place with its glass and stone front. The
full glass windows give an excellent view of the show rooms.
