Description
You are bidding on five of the six issues ofCINE-KODAK NEWS
that were published in 1934: No. 1 (January-February), No. 2 (March-April), No. 3 (May-June), No. 5 (September-October) and No. 6 (November-December). Each issue consists of 8 pages measuring 9” x 12” and printed on high quality “slick” paper.
CINE-KODAK NEWS
was an Eastman-Kodak publication intended for amateur movie makers.
It first appeared in the 1920s, shortly after Kodak introduced movie film and equipment intended for use by non-professionals. Each issue was filled with non-technical information on various aspects of amateur movie making including basic filming and editing techniques, information on various Kodak film stocks, tips for screening home movies, information on using Kodak lenses, filters and accessories, etc.
Each issue usually included an article or two on such topics as making vacation and holiday movies, making indoor movies using photoflood lamps, making films titles, etc.
While Kodak was still renting out films through its
Kodascope Libraries
, there would also be monthly updates on the titles that had been recently added to the catalogue.
(Many of these titles were theatrical feature films and comedies from the 1920s.)
And of course, there would be ads for
Cine-Kodak
cameras, lenses and accessories, Kodak movie film, and
Kodascope
projectors.
These 5 issues come from a non-smoking household and are clean, unmarked, uncut, and in good condition for their age.
They will be shipped via USPS parcel post with tracking.
