Description
Keystone Regal K-109 projectors were high-end projectors made for the home movie craze of the 1940s and 50s. Very cool retro styling. The Keystone Capri K-27 was a nice triple turret 8mm camera that matched the K-109.Dating to the early 50's, the hand-held K-27 Capri 8mm camera features a triple lens turret with 9mm, 13mm, and 25mm lenses, and an exposure guide mounted to the case. The camera is mechanically wound and still runs nicely. Both of these items appear to be circa 1953.
These projectors and cameras were very high quality, VERY solidly built, and were actually quite expensive compared to offerings from other manufacturers. The K-109 was even designed to look like the "big" projectors used in Movie Theaters. The K-27 with the 3 lenses mounted on the turret simply looks super cool.
This unit powers on and runs. The lamp works and the motor turns the reel spindles both forward and reverse. See video clip.
The cord is original but is in questionable condition, insulation and plastic covering is cracked in places and should be replaced.
Original Bakelite plug on the projector end of the power cord has screw terminals and is in very good condition and salvageable.
