electronic
via S-video or composite RCA jack. Other than what you see in video- no other testing has been performed. Sold as-is.
Plays at 20fps to eliminate most flicker. Sound films will ONLY play at 20 even if recorded at 18 or 24. There is a +/- speed control, but that can induce flicker. When rewinding, the supply reels does not always pull film- probably needs tension adjustment to work properly. Audio controls have static when rotated. This machine had its standard CCD imager upgraded for S-video output as shown on cable connection panel.
Special internal shutter eliminates most flicker. This machine is over 25 years old. If you plan on using it you should buy a new set of belts that are available from other Ebay sellers, as well as a repair manual since there are no shops that I know of who perform repairs on this model anymore.
